Stan Kurtz is a teacher and independent health researcher who turned Children's Corner into a unique whole-child, health focused school. Stan formally worked in the technology and counseling fields but after his son was diagnosed with special needs, which he later recovered from through healthful living, he decided to devote himself to making these philosophies availble to as many families as possible. Employing a combination of traditional education and a unique whole-family individualized approach to sound and healthful nutrition and environmental awareness, Children’s Corner is now changing the way we think about schooling for the individual child. Imagine a school with industrial filtered water and air and healthy home cooked food by an onsite chef. Children's Corner focuses on keeping children as healthy and free of toxic exposure as possible. Stan's research and advocasy for his son led him to invent a vitamin-based remedy whose unique properties and delivery system has helped many families and individuals suffering from ADHD, autism, chronic fatigue, and many other chronic illnesses. Much of Stan's independent research and advocasy has been funded by the Autism Research Institute (ARI). Stan has received grants from ARI to study his vitamin administration in people with ADHD. Stan is on the ARI/Defeat Autism Now! Executive Advisory Council. Stan was awarded Top 20 "Hall of Fame" status by Generation Rescue an international parent-run support organization. Stan has published dozens of recovery videos evidencing remarkable benefits from vitamin and dietary therapies. Most recently, a ground-breaking segment was produced featuring significant QEEG brain pattern improvements in a young man with ADHD using Stan's vitamin based approach. A formal study of this this vitamin is being conducted on individuals with ADHD is now being conducted with researchers at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). Stan is on the Science Advisory Board for the US Autism and Aspergers Association and is a frequent speaker at the USAAA Annual Conference. Stan is on the Medical Review Board for the Center of Autism and Related Disorders (CARD). Stan also serves as Co-Chairman of Hand in Hand Child and Family Development Center in Encino, California, a non-profit, Regional Center Provider of Speech, Occupational, Physical, and Behavioral Therapies.
